Adult Musical Theatre Dance Classes

Love a bit of sweat and Footloose after a degustation of cheese, chocolate and wine the past few weeks 😆

If you have ever felt that dance is your weakest link at auditions, and you’d love to take a dance class at your level and pace….we have started up our Adult Musical Theatre classes again.

Aimed at a beginner-intermediate level, each class starts with a warm-up before technique building from the corner and lots of cardio. We then learn a super fun musical theatre routine that makes you forget you are exercising!

We had an absolutely cracking class last night – feeling in the room after was such a buzz – an hr of cardio and everyone made it to the end smiling!

We have one more week of classes these holidays next Wed 16th 6.30-7.30pm at AVV MILLENNIUM STUDIOS. But definitely hoping to continue our classes during term time – stay tuned for more updates.

Email us at thegeminicollectiveau@gmail.com to enquire and book your place.

Meanwhile – check out our Footloose dance from last week!

Tickets on sale now!

If you are anything like us, you have a house full of kids stuff they get for Christmas which piles up and stashed then given to the op shop during the obligatory school holiday clean out…. hence why we started buying ‘experiences’ rather than stuff.

Theatre tickets are our obvious fav (waiting for Aladdin to be released!), as is the Adelaide Zoo pass.

If you have children around Yr 3 age and upwards, we would love for you to come and see our 2019 Adelaide Fringe performance ‘A Thousand Cranes’. It will be an experience they talk about long after a toy has been forgotten.

Amazing Adelaide photoshoot destination

On the hunt for the ideal photoshoot location, a quick Google search for “origami mural Adelaide” brought up this stunning artwork painted by the incredibly talented Ella Simpson from Ink and Ruby Studios in Adelaide.

Without a doubt it was perfect for us, suiting our Gemini Collective colour scheme perfectly, and so bright and eye-catching!

Painted on the side of The Vietnamese Laundry Street Food and Bar, 152 Sturt St Adelaide (best Roast Pork btw!), this large scale mural became the integral backdrop for our first cast meet and photoshoot.

There were so many different angles, interesting close-up pockets of colour and contrasting black lines of the cranes, we have an extensive collection of photos now to use for our season of A Thousand Cranes.

Much thanks to Alannah James from Little Darling Films https://www.littledarlingfilms.com.au for her photography skills and of course Ella Simpson for the artwork existing .

Love & Chookas,

Sarah and Anthony xxx
