ATG Awards – Best Youth Theatre!

So Sparkly!

On the 28th September we attended the 2019 Adelaide Theatre Guide “Curtain Call” Awards – nominated in two categories: Best Youth Theatre and Best Female Young Performer – Maddy Flapper.

We were absolutely thrilled to win the award for Best Youth Theatre against some very incredible youth shows from the past year.

Maddy Flapper and Sarah Williams

It was an absolutely beautiful night, many thanks to the ATG committee for putting on this lovely sit down, 3-course meal and show event.

We’d like to thank our amazingly talented composer Jennifer Trijo who helped us transform words on a page to a sensational soundscape and is always a wise mentor to us.

We’d like to thank our cast members Maddy Flapper, Iman Saleh, Jess Goc-ong, Calin and Arwen Diamond – for their youthful energy and commitment to sharing Sadako’s story, and of course their families for their support.

Thank you to Jo Curren for her silks assistance and choreography.

Thanks to Carolyn Obst and Westminster School for the use of your crash mat.

And finally we’d like to thank The Parks Theatre for having us and allowing us to hang silks for the first time in your theatre.

The Avengers: Endgame movie fundraiser

The Gemini Collective are a flexible touring company who can perform in schools, regional or community theatres.
However in order to do so – we need to raise some funds to build a portable stage and aerial rigging – so here’s where you come in!
Join us on April 25th at 8pm for a movie fundraiser night at the gorgeous Capri Theatre to see the new release blockbuster The Avengers: Endgame.
Come early as there will be scrumptious cheese and dessert platters to purchase in the foyer from Adelaide Platter Co. as well as a Silent Auction – so bring cash.

Lots of ticket options for singles, couples and groups with food packages also.

Currently it looks like the movie is rated M in Australia, so children are welcome at your discretion.

Do you want to brush up on your musical theatre dance skills? Always wanted to try ballet but thought it was too late?

Well it’s not – now is the time in your life you can make choices to improve yourself, be happier, and stop apologising. You won’t regret it – I promise you!

I have been dancing for over 30 years and have learnt ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theatre and hip hop, and have been teaching for nearly 15 years. I love personalising my classes to the students present; adjusting and scaffolding to your needs. There is no such thing as “I can’t” – just not YET!*
