ATG Awards – Best Youth Theatre!

So Sparkly!

On the 28th September we attended the 2019 Adelaide Theatre Guide “Curtain Call” Awards – nominated in two categories: Best Youth Theatre and Best Female Young Performer – Maddy Flapper.

We were absolutely thrilled to win the award for Best Youth Theatre against some very incredible youth shows from the past year.

Maddy Flapper and Sarah Williams

It was an absolutely beautiful night, many thanks to the ATG committee for putting on this lovely sit down, 3-course meal and show event.

We’d like to thank our amazingly talented composer Jennifer Trijo who helped us transform words on a page to a sensational soundscape and is always a wise mentor to us.

We’d like to thank our cast members Maddy Flapper, Iman Saleh, Jess Goc-ong, Calin and Arwen Diamond – for their youthful energy and commitment to sharing Sadako’s story, and of course their families for their support.

Thank you to Jo Curren for her silks assistance and choreography.

Thanks to Carolyn Obst and Westminster School for the use of your crash mat.

And finally we’d like to thank The Parks Theatre for having us and allowing us to hang silks for the first time in your theatre.
